GEE’S: OXFORD RESTAURANT SERVING SEASONAL, TRADITIONAL BRITISH FOOD

Gee’s, the Oxford restaurant where locals and visitors meet for lunch, dinner or drinks, brings together simplicity, generosity and hospitality. We serve traditional British food in comfortable, contemporary surroundings. Gee’s is a modern bistro offering diners value for money, satisfying seasonal food and a great choice of wines by the glass and carafe.

Formerly a florist and greengrocer, this North Oxford restaurant was restored and renovated by owner Jeremy Mogford fifteen years ago. Inspired by its natural light and features he enhanced the building to create a comfortable, contemporary restaurant and bar to complement the art of Gary Hume whose works are displayed throughout the bar.

Relying on seasonally available produce and often cheaper cuts, the menu consists of classic and traditional British dishes from salads and soups to seafood and casseroles. It is simple, good cooking with seasonal food, put together with intelligence and taste.

Being a university town, staff who double as artists, poets and philosophers offer impeccably friendly, discreet service.

The restaurant, terrace and bar are open Mon - Sun 12.00 noon - 2.30pm, weekends 3.30pm, and Mon - Sun 5.45pm - 10.00pm

Whilst we offer a lunch and dinner a la carte menu we also offer a set lunch menu and theatre menu and, subject to space, we are happy to serve coffee and drinks throughout the day and evening.
