JAZZ AT GEE’S

Every Sunday evening at Gee’s we entertain you with world class jazz and Latin music. Stylistically eclectic and culturally diverse, the music is geared towards the non-jazz enthusiast as well as aficionados, creating a superb atmosphere whether you want to directly immerse yourself in the beauty of performance or have it gently in the background as you chat or eat.

You can also experience jazz in Oxford at our sister venues The Old Parsonage and Quod Brasserie.

Sunday 5 and 12 July
Gee’s will be closed for a private functions on these dates, please try The Parsonage Restaurant just a few minutes walk away, offering special Sunday menus. Alternatively there is Jazz at The Parsonage every Friday night, outside on the terrace in the summer or inside by the fire.

AUGUST
Sunday 2nd August
Gwyn Allen (vocals), statling authentic jazz singer with a character to match sings with Tim Lapthorn (piano) & Tim Dawes (double bass).

Sunday 9th August
Brigitte Baraha, fluent in five languages but mostly infleunced by the Brazilian style of singing, performs within a warm and gentle voice with Tim Lapthoen (pinao) and Tim Dawes (double bass).

Sunday 16 August
Kathleen Willison, who has her own acclaimed unique sound and style, she has been compared to Ella FitzGerald, sings with Tim Lapthorn (piano) & Tim Dawes (double bass).

Sunday 23 August
Jacqui Hicks (vocals) with Tim Lapthorn (piano) & Tim Dawes (double bass).

Sunday 30 August
Gwyn Allen (vocals) with Ross Stanley (piano) & Tim Dawes (double bass).

SEPTEMBER
Sunday 6 September
Brendan Reilly, one of the top male jazz singers in the country, sings a range of Soul and R & B in addition to jazz numbers accompanied by Ross Stanley (piano) & Tim Dawes (double bass).
